Peter Mendelson

Peter Mendelson's photography focuses on those things that are often overlooked or abandoned, but which reward their viewers when given a second look. Cultural artifacts, signs and architectural structures form a core part of his subject matter, and bring to mind questions about the cultural origins and uses of these objects. Printed on aluminum or acrylic, the photographic prints reflect and illuminate the vibrant colors and depth within. Born in 1967 in New York City, Peter grew up on Long Island and discovered his passion for photography in the early 2000s. A self-taught photographer, Peter lives in Weston, Connecticut with his wife and daughter. His work is available at White Birch Studio in Westport, CT, Hiden Galleries in Stamford, CT, and Jules Place gallery in Boston, MA.
