Lisa was 6 when she moved to Connecticut where she grew up. She and her husband moved back in state to Darien 18 years ago to raise their family of three children. As her children began to leave home, Lisa had more time to deepen her interest in photography and over the last three years she has completed over half a dozen courses in digital photography, Lightroom and Photoshop at the International Center for Photography in New York as well as with NYC based photographer Carol Dragon. Most recently she completed a project shot at Dia Beacon in Beacon, NY.
The images in this show were inspired by the colors and forms in Lisa’s perennial garden. “I am the daughter and granddaughter of talented and passionate gardeners and while I might not get my own fingers dirty as often as would be required to bring me to their level, I stay connected to them through my garden and to the flowers it produces.”
