Artistic and curious, Danielle Taylor Holmes plays with mediums of all kinds. From painting to flowers, fabrics and shells- color and texture are her driving forces. Seeking a balance of beauty, play and serenity, Danielle’s work is dynamic in its movement and boldness. Her abstract pieces demonstrate the possibility of mixing pleasure with introspection, joy with restraint. While her large canvases move from intense colors to shades of white and gray, her smaller wooden tiles are playful and offer stories, either alone or as part of a grouping.
She studied architectural history at Brown University, with a number of courses at RISD and Parsons School of Design, and continues to participate in classes locally and abroad. Danielle lives in Rowayton with her family.
