Rachel Brown

Rachel Brown is a painter from Pennsylvania whose central medium is oil.

Rachel received her BA in Fine Arts from Pennsylvania State University. During college, she spent a semester in Europe studying painting and art history as a student of Temple University’s Fine Arts Program in Rome. After graduating, Rachel spent 18 productive years building a career in the corporate world, continuing to paint when time allowed. Realizing her need to foster her passion and mature and expand her techniques, she left the corporate world to focus full-time on her art.

Rachel's most recent work, which is rich with vibrant color, energy, and movement, is most influenced by the stunning colors and shapes found in water, shells, botanicals and natural surroundings of some of her favorite coastal destinations.

Rachel’s work has been exhibited in numerous shows and events, sold in retail locations and part of private collections in California, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and South Carolina. She was recently the Featured Artist at the 45th Annual Academy of Notre Dame Art Show and is also in the 2nd Volume of the Scout Guide, Main Line. She’s a member of the Delaware Valley Art League, Wendover Art Group, the Wayne Art Center and the Main Line Art Center. She currently lives in Wayne, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia with her husband, children and dog.
