Painting allows me to engage with color, texture, creative ideas and vital energy.

That combination keeps it fascinating for me. I want my work to possess a joyful quality and to affect the viewer on a deeper emotional or meditative level. I like to enter a painting when I look at it, which is why I am drawn to painterly abstraction and heavily influenced by the color field painters.

My work is highly intuitive, engaging brushes, rollers, and various mediums and paints to create an active and yet harmonious effect.
