Elizabeth H Agresta

A Vancouver-born American painter and illustrator, Elizabeth is a descendant from a long line of artists whose creative endeavors have included nationally award-winning Japanese ceramics, kimono design, culinary arts, classic wooden yacht design, photography, painting, writing, and poetry. Her earlier life was spent pursuing her passion for applied sciences, but parenthood and time spent with her young children — time exercising pure creativity and imagination — led to this most fulfilling change in the direction of her life. She has learned from some of the best masters at Silvermine Art and The Art Students League of New York. Now, with over 25 years of dedicated practice, she is the leading member of the Fairfield County Plein Air Painters and when she is not out painting with colleagues or at work in her studio in Cos Cob, she keeps her finger on the pulse of contemporary art with visits to city galleries and exhibitions and gathers inspiration from the contrasting landscapes in between.
